Geokon 3000-100-1 is a high-precision, annular (ring-shaped) load measurement device designed for geotechnical applications such as monitoring tiebacks, rockbolts, struts, and tunnel supports. It is commonly used in conjunction with hydraulic jacks and bearing plates to measure tensile loads in structures. The Model 3000 features a high-strength steel or aluminum annular construction with electrical resistance strain gauges arranged in a Wheatstone Bridge configuration. This design allows for accurate load measurement even under eccentric loading conditions. The load cell is fully waterproof, with O-rings and a waterproof gland protecting the internal components. Cables are typically terminated with a 10-pin connector compatible with the GK-502 Readout Box. Additional cable protection can be achieved using armored cables or placing the cable inside flexible conduit .
